RHUMKORFF’S COIL
High quality, trembler type spark coil.
Product Overview
comprising primary of few turns of heavy wire wound on iron core, mounted horizontally, which is fed by DC current pulses. Secondary coil of very large number of turns of very thin gauge wire completely encompasses the primary and is impregnated with wax. The electromagnetic induction due to current passing through the primary makes the armature oscillate resulting in frequent switching ON/OFF of the current through primary.
