SURGE TESTER
TYPE: SGNT10 This testing kit is capable of test insulation in transformers, particulars between turns, coil to coil which should be able to withstand surges due to transients, example, caused by switching of inductive loads or by lighting strokes.
Product Overview
Transient high voltage pulses are applied instead of testing with continuous voltage (50 Hz.) or DC thereby, simulating actual fault conditions. The rapid rise time permits the detection of insufficient insulation that continuous voltage testing will not be able to detect. Solid state electronic control circuitry is provided to generate pulses at a rate of either 6 / mins.
