For heating slides to a uniform temperature just below the melting point of wax to provide maximum flattening without damaging the section. Top plate is mounted on an insulated metal frame. It is fitted with Imported thermostat to control surface temperature from ambient to 70°C. A depression has been provided on the top surface to house a thermometer to indicate the surface temperature. Supplied complete with pilot light, cord and plug, but without thermometer.
